Portal Status

Note: Most services require you to create a Portal account. Begin by choosing "First-Time User."

Only Banquet Permits and Household Moves can be made without setting up an LCB Portal account and logging in. 

Set up a Portal account: To set up a Portal account you first need a Secure Access Washington (SAW) account.  Many businesses and licensees already have a SAW account.  If you have problems with SAW, please contact WATech at 360.586.1000 or Support@watech.wa.gov.

You will need your SAW Username and email address to set up your LCB Portal account. Each person must have their own SAW and Portal account - even people who represent the same business. Find a user guide for Portal Registration on the Portal Resources webpage. 


Payments: If you paid a liquor fee but your cart does not show it as paid, please do not pay again. Instead, please contact your licensing specialist. They can see your payment in our system and will manually fix the problem. We’re working to fix this as soon as possible.

License Processing Delays - Liquor and Cannabis: Issuing licenses may be a bit slower than is typical as we use the new Portal to process applications. We recommend submitting your application at least 90 days before your planned opening date.

Support call volume. We are working hard to help customers and are committed to responding as quickly as possible. We apologize for any delays in response.

Unplanned System Issues

Please use Chrome as your browser. If you still have problems, please contact our Service Desk at 360-664-1776. We appreciate your patience. 

Special Occasions

While applying you will not be able to return to an in-progress application if you: 

  • Get an error message
  • Switch to a different tab while completing your application
  • Use your browser's back button, or
  • Leave the application before completing it. Your work won’t be saved, and you will need to start over. 

If you pay for your application and then see a loading screen or a spinning wheel, it may not mean your application failed. If this happens, please call Customer Service at 360-664-1600 to find out if your payment went through before starting over.

  • Dec. 19, 6 p.m. - 4 a.m.
  • You can sign up to get automatic emails about important Portal news in the future.
