Alcohol Sales Training

The training courses below will increase understanding of the rules, regulations, and training requirements of Washington State's alcohol laws.

Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) - also known as a Class 12 or Class 13 Permit

• If you serve alcohol in a restaurant or bar, or you conduct tastings at a grocery store, you must take this training and get a permit.
• All managers, bartenders, and other employees who serve alcohol or supervise the sale of alcohol for on-premises consumption at a liquor-licensed location are required to get a MAST permit within the first 60 days of employment
• Anyone who conducts alcohol tastings must get their permit before they can conduct tastings.

 

Responsible Vendor Program (RVP)

  • The RVP is a voluntary training program for spirits, beer and wine retail licensees and their employees.
  • If you sell alcohol that will be taken out of your store by customers this training is for you.
