Steps to Apply for a Social Equity License

The registration window has closed. If you registered, check your email regularly for notification from the third-party contractor, Alta Point Consulting.

Alta Point Consulting will reach out to all registrants to sign up through their website and steps for how to submit your documentation.

Alta Point Consulting will evaluate your documentation. If you meet the Social Equity qualifications, your materials will be scored.

Once all documentation is evaluated and scored, Alta Point will send the final scores to LCB for notification. You will receive a notification letter from LCB with your status and next steps.

If there is a tie between groups of registrants who are within the highest scoring evaluations, a double-blind lottery will occur to determine who will move forward.

If you are one of the final highest scoring registrants, you will move forward with the licensing process. You will need to apply for your business license through the Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Services (BLS). A Licensing Specialist will be assigned to you afterwards. Stay tuned to the LCB website for the most up to date information. You can also check out the Social Equity blog on Medium and sign up for GovDelivery notification emails here.
