Liquor Control Board suspends liquor license of Othello store

December 19, 2008

OLYMPIA - The Washington State Liquor Contol Board (WSLCB) has suspended the liquor license of De Leon's Gas and Groceries for 30 days following the store's third public safety violation in two years.

The store, located at 1212 E. Main in Othello, is not allowed to sell alcohol from 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009.

The store received three violations for Sale/Furnishing Alcohol to Person(s) Under Age 21 during a two-year period, which is the timeframe used by liquor enforcement officers when determining fines or temporary license suspensions.

The store will be able to sell non-alcohol products during the suspension.

Call the WSLCB's toll-free tip line at 1-888-838-3956 to report illegal activity in liquor licensed establishments across Washington.
