SPOKANE VALLEY – Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) Enforcement and Education officers Tuesday seized alcohol from an unlicensed business in Spokane Valley. The business, Green City Saloon at 18221 East Appleway Ave. in Spokane Valley, has not had a valid liquor license since losing leasehold rights in July, 2023.
LCB officers sought a search warrant after an investigation revealed that the business had been operating without a license for several months. The previous licensee had sold the business in July 2023. The new owner had unsuccessfully attempted an assumption of the liquor license at this location with the application ultimately being withdrawn. The new owner, however, continued to operate the bar as if he had a valid license since July.
Officers seized: 250 bottles of liquor, nine kegs of beer, 40 cases of beer, and 10 bottles of wine. All seized items were inventoried and entered into the LCB evidence system until officers conclude their investigation.
