LCB Officers Seize Cannabis at Unlicensed Tacoma’s “Caveman Medicine”

OLYMPIA – Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) enforcement officers on April 20, acting under a search warrant for illegal cannabis activity at Caveman Medicine found and seized cannabis products from the business located at 1305 South 56 St. in Tacoma.

The LCB obtained the search warrant following an investigation of a complaint of unlicensed cannabis sales. The complaint was the second complaint of illegal cannabis activity at this location. A previous search warrant had been executed by the LCB in Aug. of 2023 for similar alleged illegal operations.

During the investigation undercover LCB officers were able to buy illegal cannabis at the unlicensed location. Under state law, cannabis may only be sold by a business holding a state-issued cannabis retail license, which Caveman Medicine does not have.

The warrant was executed in partnership with Tacoma Police Department. Officers seized; cannabis vapes, flower, edibles, wax, and other various items packaged and available for sale.

The LCB will be recommending felony charges against the owners of Caveman Medicine to the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office for Unlawful Possession and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (RCW 69.50.401) and operating a cannabis club (RCW 69.50.465).
