Liquor and Cannabis Board suspends licenses for three vapor product retailers – first since flavor ban

OLYMPIA, WA -- The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) today issued a Board Order of Suspension for three businesses who are not in compliance with the state’s recent Emergency Ban of Flavored Vapor Products. These three suspensions are the first since the state’s ban took effect on October 10, 2019. The three licensees are:

  1.  Vapor City & Smoke Licensee: Vapor City and Smoke LLC.13105 Meridian E, Suite 103. Puyallup, WA  98373
  2. Vapor City & Smoke 2.0 Licensee:  Vapor City and Smoke LLC.16802 Pacific Avenue S. Spanaway, WA  98387
  3. Fuse Vapor Distribution Inc. Licensee: Fuse Vapor Distribution Inc. 303 NW 76th Street, Suite A. Vancouver, WA  98665

These suspensions follow complaints and investigations from the WSLCB, including onsite visits and repeated warnings correction orders by WSCLB officers. The WSCLB has conducted 3,100 onsite visits to vapor product retailers since the flavor ban was enacted. Of the 3,100 visits, only 28 still had product available during the follow up visit from WSLCB officers. These three licensees are the only retailers who have thus far not complied after two visits and an order of corrective action.

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board educates licensees to reach compliance and enforces Washington’s liquor, cannabis and tobacco laws and regulations. The WSLCB is mandated to ensure that licensees in Washington State follow state laws and regulations. When licensees fail to comply with state law the Board can take action including the issuance of suspensions.

The suspended licensees have 24 hours to verifiably comply with the law or the suspension will remain in effect
