The LCB has developed an expedited review and approval process for cannabis-infused edible products converting to Department of Health Compliant Products. The new email address for these submissions is labelapprovalMED@lcb.wa.gov. Submissions must include:

An image of product label(s) prominently displaying:
- The Department of Health (DOH) applicable logo for General Use, High CBD, or High THC.
- The statement: “This product is not approved by the FDA to treat, cure, or prevent any disease.”
Images must be of sufficient clarity and resolution to enlarge and illustrate the requirements for review purposes.
- A completed and signed Affidavit of Cannabis Edible Product, Packaging, and Labeling Approval
All submissions will be completed within five business days in the order received.
If the product, packaging, and labeling meet requirements in 314-55 WAC and 246-70 WAC, an approval is sent via email. If there is a non-compliant product, package, or label, an email is sent that outlines what is non-compliant, and the submission is withdrawn. The licensee may resubmit compliant products, packaging, and labeling at any time.
LabelapprovalMED submissions will not be required to submit:
- A new application
- Images of the product
- Retail SKU label (if no DOH information is on the label)
- WSDA Cannabis Infused Edible Processor Endorsement
- WSDA-approved ingredients
