To buy: You do not need to be a Washington resident, but you must be at least 21 years old and show a valid, government-issued ID to buy cannabis or cannabis products at a licensed retail store. To locate licensed stores, you can check the map here. If you are not sure if a location is licensed, you can ask to see their LCB-issued license.
To sell: You cannot sell cannabis without a license issued by the Liquor and Cannabis Board. Selling cannabis without a license is a felony.
To give as a gift: You may “gift” cannabis to someone who is at least 21 years old one time during a single 24-hour period. You cannot be compensated in any way. The gift must be given in-person, in a location outside of the view of the public, or in a nonpublic place, or the cannabis or cannabis product must be in the original packaging as bought from the retailer.
