Liquor Control Board to auction remaining inventory to licensees

OLYMPIA – On Nov. 1, 2012, the Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) will host a live auction to dispose of its remaining inventory. The auction is not open to the general public. Eligible participants include Spirits Retailers, Spirits Distributors and/or most restaurant licensees who are age 21 years or older. Prospective bidders will also need to provide a bid deposit of $5,000.

Up for bid will be 15,000 cases of alcohol and alcohol related products that have been divided into 138 separate lots. Specifically, five lots of mini bottles, eight lots of pints and other small sizes, ten lots of high dollar items and 115 lots of mixed product, including spirits, wine, mixers, garnish and beer will be auctioned. The WSLCB acquisition cost of these products is approximately $1.29 million.
